“ Las Brasas Taco Shop Is one of my favorite spots when I'm in town their chicken tortilla soup if out of this world excellent dish made fresh with crispy tortilla chips lots of flavor and the parmesan cheese they ad gives it the perfect kick an absolute jewel you have to try it! “ Super local quick eats Mexican spot near the airport. I highly recommend their breakfast burritos - Probable one of the highlights of their menu. They're filling and delicious. One of my favorite spots in the area for sure, and I've tried many. Great salsa too which is important!! Their other lunch/dinner food is only okay in my opinion. I will probably stick to my breakfast burritos in the morning. I don't love their chicken enchiladas or beef tacos - just sort of lacks in flavor. Staff is always very friendly though and you never wait long for your food. There is limited seating and a couple parking spots out front. Overall I like the vibe and will continue to return for my breakfast burrito fix! ”

So let's get into the numbers We ordered two Mexican style breakfast burritos and horchata. Mexican style breakfast burritos - 8.2/10 Mines burst open and had to eat it with a fork in my car two bites in, I think they would be better served a bit less to the brim (I know a good problem to have) and a bit more grilled so they can hold their own. The verde salsa is much better than the red sauce which I didn't care for. The horchata - 8/10 Very smooth, not grainy at all which made me feel like it was bit too sweet and not as authentic as you'd think - I think the cinnamon could be turned up a notch other than that delicious. Overall - 8.1/10 I'll be back:) ”

“ Great fast Mexican Food before or after flying out or into San Diego. A landmark offering authentic Mexican cuisine at reasonable prices. Fast service and lots of outdoor tables to enjoy your food. You will leave full and satisfied. Easy to find, limited parking available but there's street parking nearby. Open early and closes late. Anytime we have plans of going to the airport, Las Brisas comes to mind and my mouth starts to salivate!!! ”

“ This was my first stop in San Diego once I landed. I looked up breakfast burritos near me and this placed popped up. I decided to go here after reading a few reviews. The place is so cute. I ordered a steak breakfast burrito and a horchata. The burrito was literally stuffed full of steak. They did not skimp at all on it. The flavor was great and I love the cheese they used. The service was really good and fast. I almost went back the next day for the meat lovers burrito but I think ill save it for my next trip to SD. The salsa for this burrito was also very good. It had a good flavor that paired well with the steak. ”

“ Stopped by for a quick burrito fix after spending time nearby in Old Town. Las Brasas is tucked away in an assuming area as one of the sole eateries around. Small parking area but there are some street parking spots nearby. I only got the special breakfast burrito (chorizo, eggs, cheese, potatoes) as I had heard this place is known for their breakfast burritos. And boy was it worth it! The flour tortilla was chewy and flavorful by itself. The potatoes were perfectly cooked with a beautiful balance between firm and soft. The chorizo added some additional flavor but texturally it kind of melded together with everything else. Might opt for bacon next time to get some additional textural elements. The salsa provided was very light and added some additional moisture and flavor. The burrito is a really good price at under $10. The burrito is the epitome of no frills and just done really well. ”

“ Not much has changed since my first review of Dos Brasas ten years ago! The food is still as good as ever. They no longer have interior seating with a self serve salsa bar, but they've transformed their exterior to a nice enclosed patio that has plenty of seating. No matter the time of day, there's always a few patrons here, despite its odd location outside of Old Town. Things to eat here: - the breakfast burritos (some of the best in SD) - beef flautas - chipotle shrimp burrito Food always comes out quick and delicious! ”

“ I came for the breakfast burritos, and I left satisfied. They have a chorizo breakfast burrito that has egg, potatoes and cheese in it, and it's perfection. All of the ingredients are well-proportioned, the chorizo isn't overpowering, and the potatoes are shaped into cubes, so you get a hearty chunk of potato with each bite. You see, I am from Southern California but I now live in the Midwest, and whenever I visit SoCal, I make sure to get a breakfast burrito, because I miss them so. You just can't beat a California breakfast burrito. So, now I have a go-to breakfast burrito joint when I'm in this part of San Diego. Dos Brasas is located just outside of Old Town San Diego, in a kind of industrial area not far from the airport. It's open early and open late, it has four parking spaces, outdoor patio seating only, and the people are friendly. The prices aren't too bad either. It's everything you want in a burrito place. I ordered four burritos to go, and it only took about 10 minutes from start to finish. They give you a lot of salsa in little containers, too. They sell other things besides burritos, though, like menudo, tortas, tostadas, etc. I'll have to come back and try their other menu items. ”
